When should I use the outgoing mail server on my account?

For best performance, we recommend you use your ISP's outgoing mail server in your email settings. All ISPs provide an outgoing mail server for their customers, and as you are already connected it usually makes sense to use this server.

If you travel or use your laptop in different locations with different internet connections, you will need to change the outgoing mail server in your account settings to send email. To simplify this process, you can use mail.yourdomain.com.au as your outgoing mail server. You will also need to authenticate with the server, to do this enter your full email address and password.
